7'4" Slot Channel Mid-Length

This board’s been a personal favorite of mine for a long time. I’ve been shaping and riding versions of it for over two decades. It’s a scaled-up version of one of our core performance shortboard templates — same curves and bottom contours, just stretched out and foamed up in the right places to suit bigger or older surfers who want more paddle power without losing that sharp, responsive feel.
Each one is handshaped, and I’ve spent years fine-tuning the flow and feel of this design — it’s a board that carries volume through the middle, but with pulled-down rails to keep it lively and responsive. At 7'4" x 22 1/2" x 3", it paddles easy and holds well on rail. The bottom runs just under flat through the midsection, into a double concave with vee out through the tail. There’s also a slot channel between the fins to give it that bit of extra squirt and speed when you're driving through turns or racing down the line.
The swallow tail keeps it fast and loose off the back foot, and while it’s set up to run as a thruster or quad, I reckon it really hits its stride as a quad — smooth, fast, and holds beautifully in clean conditions.
