Speed, Hold, and Everyday Control
Overview
The Slot Channel Swallow is a performance shortboard that Jack has been shaping and refining for over two decades. It’s designed for surfers chasing speed, drive, and control in a board that can handle everything from playful points to punchier beach breaks.
At the heart of the design is the swallow tail — chosen for its ability to hold a clean line and generate speed with ease, especially in steeper sections. The bottom runs single to double concave with vee, finished with a soft slot channel under the back foot that helps the board accelerate and stay responsive off the tail.
We also offer this model in a larger version, more suited to older or bigger surfers who still want a responsive board but with added foam for better paddling and wave entry. The swallow tail complements this by adding extra drive and hold, helping keep momentum even when you’re not surfing at full pace.
With medium to fine rails, a medium nose rocker and late kick through the tail, this board balances paddle power with sharp, snappy performance. Whether you're running a thruster or quad, it's a versatile everyday performer.
