HANDCRAFTED
GOLD COAST | TWEED VALLEY

Designs by Jack and Aaron Knight

We specialise in high-quality surfboards, individually designed to the customer’s needs. Every board is shaped, glassed, and finished by our hands.

Quick History.

Jack Knight began his shaping journey back in 1968 as a 15-year-old at Manly Beach NSW. He was first taught the craft of making boards by Neal Purchase Snr while working at Keyo’s. Throughout the 70’s he went on to shape for Bennet, Keyo, Shane and Mcgrigor (just to name a few).

In the 80’s he moved up to the Central Coast, NSW, and started the SeaFlight label. He begun developing the new Quad Fin designs with Mr X Glen Winton and shaped his boards under the Mr X/Seaflight label while he was on the professional circuit.

In the 90’s Jack moved further north to the Gold Coast and had a stint with USA label Spyder Surfboards, hand shaping for various professional surfers on tour at the time. In the 2000s, Jack reverted to shaping under his own name “Jack Knight Surfboards” and continued to hand-shape performance surfboards for both local and international surfers.

In 2012 the “Harvest” label was born through a collaboration of ideas between Jack and his youngest son Aaron (who had been honing his craft for a few years). Harvest Surfboards was born from a desire to re-engage with ideas from a bygone era and experiment with different feelings in surfboard design.

About Our Boards.

We specialise in individually made boards; true customs. Jack Knight has an extensive knowledge of surfboard design with a career that spans over 5 decades. He has experienced first hand the development of single fins, twin fins, thrusters and quads. Seen board outlines, rockers, rails and bottom contours go in every direction (and back again). When you order a Harvest, you order a board that is interwoven with this knowledge and experience. We will take our time to talk to you and figure out exactly what you are after. While “True Customs” are our specialty we also offer a range of “Models” that have been tried and tested and act as great starting points.

Our boards are made to last, we have a real emphasis on quality over quantity and prefer making boards with stronger glass jobs, and higher-quality materials and finishes. Finally, to make your board even more personal, we also offer a range of aesthetic options, with a specialty in resin tints.
